A little about me

Hi, I’m Nikki.

I’m a freelance business support, marketing and digital professional with over 20 years’ experience helping businesses stay organised, work more efficiently and turn ideas into action.

I started Virtual Assistance in 2003, bringing together my background in executive assistance, sales and marketing with a growing interest in technology, website design and digital communications.

Since then, my work has evolved considerably, but the principle has always remained the same: providing reliable, experienced and genuinely useful support that makes running a business easier.

A varied background. A practical approach.

Over the years, I’ve worked with entrepreneurs, small businesses, established organisations and senior leadership teams across a variety of industries.

My experience covers everything from executive support and business administration to marketing coordination, website development, project management, operational improvements and performance reporting.

I’ve coordinated projects involving multiple teams and external suppliers, developed websites and digital campaigns, introduced systems to improve accountability, and created dashboards and reporting tools to help businesses understand what’s happening behind the scenes.

I’m just as happy getting stuck into the practical details as I am looking at the bigger picture and finding ways to make things work better.

More than ticking things off a list

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that businesses don’t always need more people, more meetings or more complicated systems.

Often, they just need someone who can bring a fresh perspective, ask the right questions and get things moving.

I’m naturally organised, analytical and curious. I like understanding how things work, spotting opportunities for improvement and finding practical solutions.

I don’t believe in making things more complicated than they need to be, and I’m not afraid to suggest a different approach if I think there’s a better way.

My aim is to be someone you can rely on to think independently, take ownership and make a positive difference to your business.

Having run my own business since 2003, I understand the challenges of juggling priorities, managing workloads and making the most of limited time and resources.

I work remotely with businesses throughout the UK, offering flexible support for ongoing work, individual projects or periods when an extra pair of experienced hands would make all the difference.

You won’t find rigid packages or unnecessary processes here. I prefer to understand what you need and work out the most effective way to help.
